drum fills up if not used for 4 days?

my washing machine drum fills up with a few inches of water if not used for a few days , how can i fix this problem, its a zanussi jetsystem 1200 .

if you have a combined washing machine sink trap as i did,the waste going outside was partly blocked so the sink empted into the washing machine a little at a time
