How can i fix my zanussi DW908 multirack dishwasher?

How can i fix my zanussi DW908 multirack dishwasher? At the start of the program, it didn't alllow enough water in to cover the element, so when it heated up it smelt like it had burntout or overheated. I set it at program end to empty the water that had got in, it wouldn't empty. Ive tried a couple of websites which tells me to take this bit off, and that piece out, but i don't know what these parts look like. I have no manual to identify parts. I can't download one as it doesn't list my model number.

No No No ,
This is a common problem with this model and is easily cured by pouring a large saucepan of water into the machine,(enough to just cover the element) and run on a B cycle. Repeat if necessary and this should sort out what is a simple priming problem.
Hope this reaches you before you spend money on pumps etc.

water doesn't cover the element it sprays water around on to the element. This could mean the pump is faulty.its a strip down job and about £80 for a pump.unless you are good with tools its not a straight forward job!
