Have a 1999 Vectra V6. My key fob won't activate the central locking system. No light on the the fob when I press lock/unlock. Had batterry checked, is fine, but engineer said the the battery holder is not making proper contact with circuit board, probably old & needs replacing. But can't send key away as I need car every day. Can open doors with key & start engine, but the alarm is bugging the neighbours!

get a soldering iron and heat up the connection on the key fob where the battery connects this should fix the loose connection hope this helps
