How to repair hair clippers?

The clippers are not cutting as close as they were before I allowed someone to use them.
Alexander, July 2006
On most clippers there are 2 screws on the lower (static) blade. This is the blade that actually comes into contact with the hair.
Set the clippers to the shortest cutting setting before loosening these 2 screws. Half a turn on each screw should loosen the static blade.
Adjust the static blade so there is is about 2 mm between the tips of the static blade and the tips of the moving blade.
Ensure both blades are aligned square before tightening the 2 screws.
