My CD Player is only playing in Mono?

Can anyone help?, I have a 56 plate Renault Clio 1.5DCI Dynamique and the CD Player is showing MONO CD on the display window, Have I wrongly pressed an incorrect button?, How can I restore the player to Stereo CD?
