When I set the machine to the programme to wash it works as normal the correct lights come on and the door locks. Then the wash cycle takes in some water but only runs for about 1 minute then the machine stops. All the lights remain on as normal. There are no error messages showing and when I put the machine onto the drain cycle the water is drained and I can then open the door and set the machine to off.

check that the heater element is not open circuit
this can cause the programme to halt and wait
