fiat/iveco cyl head torque ?

cheers 'p' the aifo 8340.06 is a direct injection 4.570cc wet liner 4 cyl. your advice of 216nm seems very high? i was thinking it would be nearer to 135nm? allso i need torque settings for conrod bolts? trying to find any info on aifo engines is a nightmare. where did you get your figures from? thanks for your help its much needed. cheers

cheers 'p' have spoken to an iveco plant specialist.he recomended 40lb/ft then 90degrees then 90degrees again. for the head i think it works out bout same as you recomended.bigend caps 40lb/ft then 90degrees, or 56nm then 118nm. ive gone for the 216nm for head and 118nm for end cap,as torque wrench seems better to me than degrees.i have emailed aifo in italy but as yet have no reply.i will keep ya posted how it works out. will b running engine up today, so we will see how she go,s. the rastafairyland bus lives on[i hope] thanks again for ur help cheers

figures are from auto data 2007 version from work yours is the only 4.6 D engine in that year engine number should corespond 8340 04 200 250 or 8340 04 200 362 double checked same 216 Nm final torque setting not listing conrod bolts only big ends and main bearings if engine numbers correspond then must be right hope this helps m8
