Hi All,

I have a modena 80e model boiler and have just attempted to fire up my central heating. The issue I have, is I can get no heating to kick in, and no light indicating that it is even ready.

I have bled all radiators, pressure is at 1 bar, and nothing is happening.

I am still receiving hot water, and when I turn off the hot tap, my central heating standby flashing light appears for a few moments before flashing off again.

Please help if you can! Many many thanks in advance.

fill up to 1.1/2 bars or 2.then try.1 bar on some combi boilers is a bit low.

IF you have left your oil tank run empty there could be an air lock between the tank and the boiler, if this is the case then you need to bleed the pipes coming into your boiler by loosening off the bleed screw/bolt and turn on the heating/or sometimes theres a button on the boiler to boost the pump until the oil comes out through the bleed screw and there is no air bubbles present ie. constant stream then tighten bolt again. hope this helps
