Can I put my hot water on a timer as I do not need it on all day?

I have a Worcester Combi boiler which was installed 8 months ago. I have on several occasions burned my fingers as the hot water eventually comes out scalding. The hot water is on all the time and as I am out most of the day, I don't need the hot water on all the time. The temperature of the water coming out of the hot tap is 55 degrees centigrade.

If it is a new Worcester (I'm assuming Greenstar), there is an eco button on the front, when lit, it stops the boiler pre-heating the hot water.

combi boiler only works when tap is open, so no need timer. you can reduce hot water tempeature from boiler control panel if there is one. as some boiler design to work it self.
