Most likely part of the memory card is broken and is hanging on the contacts. Removing it by force will probably bend the contacts and make conditions worst.
Recommend leaving the card in and using the cable to get your pictures out.
Panasonic TS will most likely charge +200 USD to send you a refurbished unit. You also have the choice of sending it to a repair center that will charge you approximately 100 USD.
