hi,
my electrolux front loader ew1080f (about 5 years old) machine keeps stopping during operation and has been coming up with the errors e90 and e40.
So I cleaned out the blue wires in the top/front panel (like it says to on this website for error e90). It seemed to start up fine. Then I put a wet load in to test on the 'spin' cycle, once it started spinning it made a loud /strange whirring noise and didn't seem to be spinning as quick as usual. Then when it did speed up and spin fast, it cut out... all the lights turned off.
it also hasn't been draining the fabric softener.
is this worth trying to fix?!?

but I cant see error codes, I checked brushes -good cond, blowing switch , what next ?

this sounds like the motor brushes have worn out.lay machine on its back and remove the motor brushes from the side of the motor and check if the carbon bit is 10mm or less.if so replace.
E90 is the blue loom bad connection on display pcb
E40 is a door interlock fgault code.You have so much going on with this it might be best to cut your losses and buy a new one!
