Nasty noisy squealing andgrinding noises when my LG Tromm washing machine i?

I have a LG Tromm washer Model WM2677HWM Other no. on the plate is 504 KW00011(whatever that means. After an LE error I had the sensor replaced about 2 months ago just before the 5 year service warranty expired. I thought the machine sounded a little rough, but hey I'm a girl. Well now it squeeks during the washing cycle and sounds like it's going to bring the house down when in the spin cycle on medium spin-I don't dare put it on high spin. Is it possible that it was reassembled incorrectly? Or is it bearings-I'm assuming it has some. Hmmm... any thoughts on this and any detailed advice on repairing this. Though I am without a doubt mechanically challenged I have replaced pulleys and a drum belt in my dryer and managed some plumbing repairs. Given good and thorough step by step instructions I can blunder my way through repairs.
Thanks to all that take the time to contribute-Great site!
Is there anywhere that one can find diagrams on repairs?

Hey, not sure if you got your question answered yet, but yes it sounds like the bearings have gone bad. I believe you can order a new tub seal and bearings. Try Sears Parts Direct enter your model number and search for the bearings. They have a break down for you to see what you need. You may need a bearing puller, a slide hammer type of bearing puller may work. Ask the auto parts store and they usually lend them out. Also, don't forget to grease the lip seal when you do replace it all. There’s a special type of grease you need or you could probably just use marine based grease since it's water resistant. Here's the service manual if you need some help with disassembly and reassembly and it also has the parts break down... Good luck!

You're in luck actually, here's a link of this one guy who documented his LG Washer bearing replacement. It's an older model, but from what I've seen, it's pretty much the same process and idea.
