Aeg 16810 washer/dryer?

The machine became very noisy when spinning and then the drum ceased completley. My son removed back and saw that belt was not attached, but thought the bearing had ceased. would this be the cause of the problem? If so how do we remove & replace bearing?

seized bearings will cause belt to come off.the whole drum has to come out the machine case and be split in half to access the bearings.BIG job and if it has seized you may need a new drum shaft.
