I have a hotpoint refrigerator /top freezer ,it was making a very loud sound when the freezer turned on. it sounded like somthing was touching the fan (vibrating). I took everything out and could see nothing .I cleened it,and removed any ice that was in the freezer,as i was doing that the noice stoped .Was this going work? I put everything back and hoped for the best that it would be ok.in a few min. the freezer came on (no loud vibration sound)What was that? Mabe the sound will come back I do not know

Anon - i think is must be hehe or if not on drugs he got nothing better to ask lol but anyway back to your question! the vibrating noise for a start if its got a fan installed in to it tyhen its a frost free one so there shud not of been any ice inside the freezer if so i wud worry more on as to why that was! & the vibrating noise sounds like i slightly bend fan blade that is more likely & have a hotpoint fridge/freezer myself (model FFA90P) & one thing i had to live with is the noise it makes whitch been told feww times it is quite normal & live with it! lol
(wish i knew that before i went out & bought it)
