my expansion is on the left hand side of the boiler my only worry is why the there is rubber in side the neck of my new expansion vessel which as if i assume will block water run in side the expansion vessel

how can i replace my expansion vessel i have bought a new expansion vessel on the top where to screw the nut i found the new vessel the is a rubber block the hole where water to go through in side the vessel.

You'll have to remove the appliance off the wall or fit another vessel outside of the boiler case close to the return and leave the existing vessel in place
