How do i fix my wooden door frame, kicked in too?

My wooden door frame is damaged where it locks. I know i need 4x2" timber and some facings, i want to replace all the frame(Ive measured and counted 4 pieces to replace). How do i fix the 4x2" to the wall structure? Theres a couple of packing bits filling the gaps just now, but how will i make it secure to the wall for best security and make it draught free... Im good at diy, just need to make sure i make it as safe as possible... i cant afford a joiner.. thanks

You can buy a ready cut door framing at a timber yard or builders merchants - various widths....

And Frame fixing screws (drill a hole and hammer it in) from the same places or a DIY store...

Easier - if you can manage it and the damage is small - to saw out the damaged timber and glue in / slot in / screw in a suitable small piece to fit - a section - if you need to fill gaps then use a piece of timber and wedges.

Replace as little as possible - cheaper - quicker and easier.

Good luck...
