How do I clean my filter?

I have a Bosch Logixx7 integral washing machine. It makes noises when it drains so tried to clean the filter but can not unscrew the cap, bottom right of machine. Any ideas how we can get the cap off

use a pair of pliers for more leverage, but be prepared to buy a replacement filter/cap
