How can I enter my code?

I have a 6000CD RDS in a Puma and after running the battery flat the screen shows:

CODE -- -- -- --

I have the code but nothing registers on the screen when I press buttons 1 - 4. Can anyone PLEASE help?

blaupunk make them and my mate radio ronny said disconnect from the battery and leave a cpl days and then plug in and wait for it to flash

Tried that peesian but still no luck. I'm sure something simple will solve it, but nothing so far has worked. I'm searching the web to see who makes these RDS machines but even that's difficult.

Thanks for your help so far and if you have any other ideas, I'm desperate to try them.

press and hold down buttons 1 and 6 then turn stereo on

Thank you peesion. They were already flashing but I left it switched on for 3 hours and still nothing?

you have to leave the radio on for approx 1 hr till code bars start to flash before entering the code using buttons 1 2 3 4 till numbers correspond then pressing button 5 to store it give serial number on right side beginning with letter M to check right code
