Zanussi zwd1471w not working, 'on' light comes on but nothing else?

Yesterday our washer dryer stopped and turned off towards the end of a wash cycle - turned out the fuse in the plug had blown, so we changed it and thought nothing of it. But then the same thing happened today... Only this time we changed the fuse, and when we turned it back on, only the on light would come on - there were no other lights or error messages. My partner drained the water out and checked for blockages but there wasn't much else we could do as it's probably something to do with the electrics...

Any ideas on what the problem might be, and if it might be easy to fix or if it's time for a new machine? Needless to say it's no longer under warranty :(

Thanks!

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for your response - in the end we opened it up to see if we could find the problem and it was a blown circuit board. My boyfriend looked into the possibility of buying a replacement board and repairing it himself, but it turned out a new board would cost £200, so we decided it wasn't worth it and bought a new machine.

door lock might of blown fuse and then when you replaced it because the door lock was still faulty has now blown the main control pcb.if this is the case a new machine might be an option as pcb's are expensive and you will need to be 100% sure what made it blow in the first instance has been replaced/fixed because if you fit it to a faulty part the new board will go bang as well!
