Hullo there. My problem is - I took the filter out to clean it and after putting it back, found water just flooded out of it when I next went to do a wash. I've taken it out and replaced it several times since, with the same result. The rubber washer seems to be 'free-floating' - not attached at the top or bottom or even in the middle - when I try to fit it firmly round the top, it doesn't stay in place and anyway, I can't get the filter back in! Can anyone advise, please?

Aha! I wondered whether the washer was a bit stretched out of shape and found a way to put it where you suggested that seemed like it might work better than the way I had done it before (if you see what I mean). It wasn't a tight fit, but it's worked AND the filter screws back in OK - no more leaking. THANKS A MILLION, CK!!!

Thanks, CK, but when I put it there, it fits snuggly, but then I can't screw the filter in and water still leaks out ...

the rubber fits just behind the screw thread handle bit.if it isn't there water will pee out
