When I turn on my mp3 player it makes a clicking sound for a while before it comes up with a screen that gives me the four options of clean up, format all, reload OS, and reboot. The next screen tells me I have a harddisk problem. Is this fixable?

This happened to me too and when I found this answer I almost passed out b/c it worked. Turn it on to when the EAX menu comes on. I think I had to take the battery out and put it back in. As the EAX screen comes on smack (and I mean SMACK) the upper right hand corner above the menu button and you should hear the hard drive grind on and it should play fine. Good luck.
