the boiler dose not cut in automatically?

potterton netaheat profile 50e boiler. my boiler dose not cut in automatically when the tempreture drops,do you know where i can purchase a manual. the boiler was already in place when i purchased the house.the only way i can get the boiler working, is by pressing a button underneath the boiler.then it only works for about an hour-then switches off.

The button you are pressing sounds like the overheat thermostat reset button (hole underneath boiler cover towards the right hand side). The boiler could be overheating for a number of reasons:

Main thermostat allowing overheat:

Pump overrun thermostat shutting down too early (therefore faulty):

Pump not operating/running too slowly:

Pump live not wired into boiler (installation fault):
