What would cause my television to turn itself off?

What would cause my television to turn itselt off when the sleeper mode is in the off position. It does this about 4 to 6 times automatically. It is a Phillips television purchased last year July, 2005 Brand new from Sears.

Think it may be a bad solder connection on the board. You can find it if you have a BIG magnifying glass that is how the tech found mine. When it heats up it expands enough to make a bad connection.
Two sets of mine had same prob. and that was the cause. One did it when just out of warranty. The other a cousin gave me, she was going to trash it. Both nice 27" flat screens. First was $60.00 in '91 for the RCA the second, Panasonic, was $10.00 last fall at the tech school :-)

My Philips 32PW6006 when switched on also turns itself off automatically.
It does this usually about 5-6 times. Each time i switch it back on using my Sky remote. It then comes back for a second and then goes off again.
Ater the 5-6 time it does then stay on.

Not an answer i am afraid, but if i find anything i will let you know. Can you do the same for me?
