My Matsui MAT42LW507 tv is stuck in standby!!!?

Whilst watching my tv, it went into standby mode (screen went blank and blue light came on). When I try to switch the tv on, the blue light fades but that's about it. Can anyone tell me what's wrong and if it's repairable?
