Washing machine is stuck in one programe no matter what I do! How can I reset the programes?

Sometimes going into diagnostics and stepping through is enough to purge the electronics.

Switch off.

Press and hold the start/pause and skip/reset buttons.

Whilst holding them switch the appliance on.

The machine will beep or flash at you.

Let go of the two buttons.

Use the fabric button to step through the 10 leds (1st two columns on the left).

Press and release the fabric button and slowly go through all the leds on the 1st 2 columns.

Pause when you get to the 2nd bottom led on the 2nd column.

You'll get an error code displayed (if you have a time display) or the column of 8 leds on the right will flash.

Once you've stepped through all of the points.

Switch off.

Switch on.

Switch off again.

Now switch on and try the machine.

remove the filter at the bottom right corner and make sure its clean

Thanks ck, it is my elderly neighbours machine and I beleive that it keeps stoping at the same point and wont allow another programe.

you can't reset this machine as such.skip the program to the end although it might well of gone in to a fault mode hence stuck
