rear window motor problems ford mondeo mk3?

I shut the offside door on

my mondeo and the window dropped down half way.

The motor made some clicking noise but would not wind up again.

I put my hands on both sides of the window ,manage to get it back up.

Does anyone know whats gone wrong.
