the stereo wont let me enter a code but there is four dashes on he screen what do i do????

Please note that code entry is only possible when the display shows "CODE". If the unit shows four bars "_ _ _ _ " then it is codelocked and must be left switched on for up to two hours before a further attempt at code entry is be possible.
