Cabin wall clock will not work at cabin but works at home?

My battery operated wall clock works fine at my home, but when I take it up to the cabin it stops. My cabin is 4000 feet higher in elevation than my home. I have replaced the motor 3 times.
This cabin was built in 1957. Does the electrical wiring (EMF) have anything to do with the clock running. I have moved the clock to different wall areas of the cabin and it sill stops. Please help....Scottsdale Arizona
