Neff S5433X0gb dishwasher. The drain pump runs all the time, even withthe door open. have taken the cover off and the impeller is clean and spins freely. Is there a float switch or similar holding this on and stopping the cycle from running?

Yes, it's the anti-flood device that causes constant operation of the drain pump.

If water collects in the appliance's base pan, the float switch will come up and the drain pump will go into the emergency mode.

Once water is removed from the base pan, the float switch should go back down and the machine will start operating properly.
