Why do I have low pressure after fitting a shower pump?

I have recently stripped and refitted a downstairs shower room. I have fitted a thermostatic bar mixer and shower riser. I have also fitted a Salamander 1.5 bar pump. PROBLEM there seems to be very little pressure? I have a standard new indirect water cyl that sits above the shower on the 1st floor, the pump sits next to it. I have a new large cold water tank in the loft above that. All fittings are in 15mm pipe. Do I have the wrong mixer? I the shower head too big?
Please help. Matt B

you could have also fitted the wrong shower there is two main types high pressure and low pressure you should check to see if the shower is suitable for gravity fed system and it doesnt matter about the shower head

have you tryed removing the two outled pipes from pump to the shower at the pump end, and running pump in to bucket to remove any air that may be in the pump chambers or pipes. see if you get good flow then. also you don't have any balofix,or non return valves fitted in to pipework any where as they can restrict water flow
