how to fix my husqvarna 45 chainsaw throttle cable?

I have taken the saw apart to fit a new daphragm in the carb. Now I have put it back together the throttle cable isn't tight enough. I assume I have not fitted it correctly somehow. I have run it round the handle and clipped the cable shroud into the holder in the handle just behind the trigger. I am not sure if I have routed it correctly through the air filter. Does the shroud fix any where else at the other end to stop it moving when the trigger is pulled? Any help appreciated.

The outer black cable hooks into a cut a way in the air filter housing, it is importent you fix the wire cable end correctly into the throttle shaft, it does not fit into the hole in the shaft, it sits into the larger gap, its very difficult to explain in a message, the hole in the shaft is when the carb was used on a different model
