Dell keyboard fault?

My dell inspiron 1525 has developed a keyboard fault. The cursor jumps around in the text I'm typing, causing text to disappear then reappear anywhere in the document. Any ideas?

Yes - the ball of your right thumb is brushing the touch pad causing the cursor to move - you are not alone.

I solved it on my laptop by loading a touch-pad driver from Alps- Apoint.exe. It has a feature to disable the touch pad whenever a regular mouse is plugged in.

Your keyboard does not have a fault 99% certain
