baxi combi 105e low pressure?

Tried to find red handle on silver hose but mine does not have a handle just a connection between silver hose to pipe that looks like a special screwdriver or such fits? -o- this is the shape? Tried turning with normal screwdriver and using star shaped aswell but will not budge. Any ideas?

Aha, the valve that is twice the size would be the non-return, should be nothing to touch on that one. But I think I'm getting the picture here (hopfully), the valve you are trying to turn has had the plastic turn part removed and will be a jutted out piece, brass coloured? You may need a small adjustible spanner to open and close it

the other valve is about twice the size and there is nothing to turn with a screwdriver only a nut in the middle. this valve is on the the end where it comes off the pipe and the other smaller valve is on the silver braided hose end which leads into the boiler via pipe. Does this sound correct?

If it is the right valve, fair enough.
But they can turn either way (generally quarter turn), it all depends on the make of the valve, try both ways, I'm sure you'll get there.

sure this is the right valve as an engineer who looked at boiler a couple of years ago pointed it out. Not sure what he used to adjust it. I assume turn to the right to raise pressure and back to stop?

You could be trying to open the non-return valve instead of the filling valve.
Try looking towards the other end of the braided hose.
The filling valve in general, is shorter in length than the non-return valve, the filling valve could be a quarter turn handle, or a standard flat blade screwdriver slot depending on make of filling loop.
