How do you fix upvc door lock that is locked in position I have tried removing the centre panel of the door but this did not give me access to the lock, do I need to drill through end panel to gain access

OMG!! We charge £45 to gain access. Non destructive methods used to overcome failed MPL mechanisms. These rates are pretty standard if you shop around and save yourself some sweat, damage repair and expensive mistakes.

One other way to get door out relatively undamaged which i have done a few times - with a view to refitting it with a new lock mechnism.

Using a hacksaw blade saw through the fixing screws that are securing the door & frame in place = Not an easy job and not a quick one either but it does work.
An electric reciprocating saw saves a lot of time and effort.

This is a rather complex job to do, but you were right with taking the centre panel out, has your door lock got hooks?
