turn table motor gearing has possibly sheered. Dangerous to fix due to high voltages inside unit. Depending on cost of unit, either get it repaired or time for a new one.
If your competent then with the help of a local electrical parts supplier you may be able to get a new motor. No experience then please don't go looking inside.
Assuming the obvious fault is the motor :)
