GROHEDAL dual flush concealed unit?

Hello, I have a dual flush unit which sits behind a tiled over box. The toilet simply won't flush properly-quite a bit of force needs to go into pressing the flush before anything happens and when something does happen its not a strong enough flow of water to actually flush away. I need to understand what the problem is and how to get at it without ripping my bathroom apart- any help appreciated. Thanks

One quick question is the flush button on a plate or a little round button If its on a plate grasp the plate under the bottom and pull up by about 6mm then unhinge it from the top thiswill give you acess to the air switches on another plate. undo this plate and that will give you acess to the rest of the cistern!!

Check the water level in the cistern to see you have enough in it for a full flush

It sounds as though the siphon needs replacing, which means a rip out.
