My aeg washing was working perfectly, then at the end of the program the display indicated rinse cycle but nothing was happening and door was locked. I performed emergency drain and checked pump for blockage-was ok. I managed to open door with a small force on handle. I checked power and fuse all ok. I removed top cover for visual check every thing seemed ok. There is no display function and seems like total internal shutdown. I suspect door locking safety feature faulty but not convinced it would cause total loss of all functions. I have checked main power and continuity of conductors upto filter capacitor, that is ok. Please can you help identiy the problem so that i can replace the faulty component responsible. May be there is a reset procedure? Thank you.

This doesn't sound good.total dead no disply usually means EXPENSIVE repair.problem is it could be a problem with any of the following
door lock ,main pcb display pcb,pressure switch.Without test kit it is hard to say BUT board failure is common problem caused by another part failing usually!!!
