ford focus 2003 blaupunkt radio dead after battery problems?

I had the battery jumped a few times and finally replaced and the radio died during that time.
There is nothing on the screen.
Is there a way to get it back on?
There is no screen asking for a "code", just a blank screen.
Is it a goner?

the above radio works great all modes just no screen, how to reprogram and get screen back???

I already checked the fuse and replaced it even though it appeared to be ok and not burnt out.
