Suddenly,will not play or record disks. When disks are placed inside the tray, the display message is NO DISK, even newly formated disks. Set up mode & program recording mode are accessible but, does not record after setting timed recordings (OK until 1 week ago).

i had a same think with mine..
does it recond on to dics and there is nothing on it
or try dvd rws and play them
or does it play other dice flims before this happen
or recording any thing

if so take it to a shop or buy another one
