Extended wiring to Calortec radiator?

I have extended the cable on my new radiator, about 1m in total, (its a 1510 watt model) but have noticed although it has a 3 core cable the earth wire is not connected in the 13 amp plug, the wire has been cut short???? is this correct

On the radiator will be a rating plate - a sticker. Printed on it might be a "double insulated" logo of two squares one inside another. If you see this the Earth wire is not required. If you do not see the symbol then you do need the earth to be connected.
