We have a 3yr old Worcester Bosch 24i junior boiler which rattles when the heating comes on. It doesn't do it all the time, and it is definitely the casing, because when you push the front of the boiler it stops. British Gas say it's just a fault with the make, but it is in my daughters room and it's drving her mad (as the heating comes on at 6.30am). Has anyone got any ideas before I call BG again?

Hi, you could check that the control panel facia is pushed in all the way, this panel is held in by its own (four) plastic clips and when fully in position it helps to hold the metal cabinet tight. To remove the plastic control facia pull gently forwards to un-clip then you will see 2 screws, one either side of the controls aperture, check these are tight & replace plastic facia as above. I wouldn't recommend any other dismantling unless you are a Gas Safe engineer.
