transformer blown?

my fiber optic tree has just blown its transformer why

i take it that you got the trannie with the tree?if you did the manufactuer would have made sure it was rated for the tree,(or they would be in deep trouble)
have you replaced the bulb with a higher wattage one?
tree bulbs are norm 10 or 12 watts

example the transfomer is 200 miliampes and the tree is 900 miliampes the tree takes 700 more so the transfomer will burn out.

ps, you need a new transfomer look on the tree for the volts and ampes ( or mili ampes ) and buy a transfomer with the same volts and ampes.

Too much current causing overheat failure (melting wire) or failure of transformer due to out of specification material or production process.

Knowing why will not necessarily help you.
