My mother bought this car and we attemped to fix the problem for her and may have tried more than 10 times. Now nothing is happening. When we press 6 and 4 the radio switch on on one radio station for about 3 sec and then the code error show. No CODE show up when we turn the radio on. We do have the code but can not get the choice to put it in. How do you get passed this error.

Try the folllowing.

A. How to get an additional attempt to put the code in:

1. Turn the radio unit OFF.
2. Press and hold the '6' button. Do not release it.
3. Turn the radio unit ON. Do not release the '6' until the radio request the code (it may take 10-30 seconds).

B. If the previous method fails:

1. Drivers door open - leave open.
2. Ign. ON. - Use RED key only.
3. Radio ON.
4. Press and hold presets 1, 3 and 6.
5. Ign. OFF then back ON within 1 second.
6. Release presets 1, 3 and 6.
7. Radio OFF.
8. Ign. OFF.

Turn the radio ON. If the radio remains showing "LOCKED3", repeat the above instructions 3 times. Then try to turn the radio on again.

Be careful as these methods will allow 1 or 3 additional attempts to enter the code. If these attempt(s) are used up, the radio can no longer be unlocked without special decoding equipment.
