Hoover WDM 120 spinning problem - clothes still wet?

Hoover WDM 120
Clothes coming out very wet as machine doesn't seem to get up to full spin speed. It starts to speed up, buzzes loudly then slows then speeds up again. Other times without the buzz, but acceleration seems intermittent. Seems to rotate ok on wash part of cycle.

hi, brushes will bed themselves in soon. obviously the betta they fit transfers electric to motor for efficient running. glad its working . louder noise could could,be bearing race on drum wearing a bit.i know things add up but think i would have bought new brushes ,only my opinion tho m8. happy washing . !

Thanks once more. I checked the brushes and one was chamfered the wrong way, ie the guy had sold me two the same and not a pair. I removed them and carefully sanded them to fit the right way against some fine sand paper wrapped round a rolling pin with similar diameter to the armature and re- fitted them and hey presto it works fine although a little noisier than before on the spin cycle. Do you think this is ok or should they be replaced completely?
Thanks again for your comments.

hi, u can tell if the brushes r not fitting motor properly because ,the motor sounds louder and u may hear spitting /arcing noise from motor, probably needs engineer to check voltages etc, u could just check pump is freely running and there no blockage in filter of pump tube ?. hope this helps.

Thanks for your resoponse.
I fitted some replacement brushes supplied by local repair shop, although they were from a dismantled machine, still had plenty of wear.
Is this fault likely only to be brushes, ie if I bought a pair of brand new brushes would it be fixed? or could it be something else?. I'm on the verge of buying a new machine as we cant survive without a fully operational washing machine (family!)

hi, probably doesnt spin at full 1200 till last spin, sounds like u need to remove and check motor brushes for wear if possible, with the machine unplugged of course. cheers.
