eiki projector?

i have an eiki lc-300 it powers on then goes to stand by mode all fiters are clean any guesses ?

first of all, wow, that has got to be from early to mid '90s. Any rate, it is probably either the lamp itself or the lamp ballast. You can pull the lamp out and check for cracking, bulging or just simply shattered. If a visual inspection on the lamp looks good, then turn it on and listen really carefully. Tyypically the ballast will try to strike the lamp three times, so you will hear buzzing noise followed by silence of 5-10 seconds, etc. If this is the case then you need a new lamp. Otherwise I would guess lamp ballast which is obsolete.
