i download sdformatter but i didnt successfully format it :( ?

what should i do to cause every time i click format it says "memory card is write protected,please release the write protect switch"??

look at the sd card with the label facing you.On the right side towards the bottom is a slider switch on the edge of the sd card.make sure it isn't in the lock position
