Potterton Legend Gas Fire?

I have the Potterton Legend Gas Fire which is collecting soot inside on the coals and glass front. The fire has been serviced and the chimney has had a flue fitted and cleaned. can you advise what maybe wrong. Fire CC No32.471.98 Serial No BLAR 646 0118

check that the small hole on the pilot assembly is clear of dust and the pilot light is burning blue. if it is yellow this can cause sooting of the glass and coals

because it is a flame effect fire soot is produced during use this is normal check position of coals so that the flames do not play onto the glass panel one coal out of place can cause your problem
