How do I remove the Ford factory fitted 4500 EON RDS CD/Radio?

I simply have no idea where to start to try to remove this factory fitted device. Any help would be appreciated.

there are eight screws holding the facia on 2 down the side of glove box 2 underneath 2 insde the plastic flap by the steering wheel and 2 behind the rear window heater which you prise out gently with small screwdriver

I found by removing the front fascia and using a flat head screw driver to jam down the gap holding the stereo in and with brute force sprising it out it finally released itself, worked a treat. This was the last resort after hours of delicatly trying to remove it before hand though. Only use this technique as a last resort.

there are no holes to use the radio removal key. you need to somehow remove the dashboard, as after removing all the screws, there isn't a way of completley removing it to get enough room as the dash gets stuck on the heater controls, can't find a way of getting round it! any other ideas ????!!!!

Not with the Ford stereo's they are custom designed for the dashboard, I know the old 4 hole trick and using a cut off coat hanger but you can't with these, it's properly integrated... I'm still waiting for a solution myself!!

you need a radio removal key! if not you have 4 holes on the front sides of the radio if you get 4 flat point screwdrivers that fit in the holes push them into the holes you should hear a click thats the retainer brackets opening you should be able to pop the stero out!
