I need to get rid of all the green and brown stuff on my decking. I bought some expensive stuff from the shops made especially for decking cleaning but it didni't work so was waste of money. Is there anything I can use that will work and not cost a fortune?

I bought a cheap Jet Washer from a DIY store for £40 - each spring I use it to clean the slime off the decking - splashes a bit but does a good job. Because it was cheap I do not expect it to last forever but this spring will be the 5th year of use - just £8 per year.
