How can i stop the lever stiffness?

The basin tap in the bathroom is a loop single lever mono mixer tap which is 6 years old.The tap is not leaking but the lever has become rather stiff and creaky when operating. Is it possible to repair it without dismantling it, if so how does it come apart. The model reference which I have is,PH305 PH361

In the front you will find a plastic plug carefully remove it behind the plastic plug you will find a grub screw remove it and lift of the tap top it might be a little stiff so go gently with it after doing that you will see a gland nut undo this place a bit of wd 40 just a squirt.. Put the top back on and try moving it around and it should go away.. It should be ok good luck
